Kathy Hensley

… is a Director with Houlihan Valuation Advisors, a national firm of valuation and capital consultants. Kathy’s professional background includes experience with an industrial equipment supplier as a staff accountant, Not-for-profit organizations budgets, and in public accounting as a tax specialist. Kathy earned her CPA designation in 2005 and her ABV designation in 2011.

Kathy’s business valuation experience includes but is not limited to estates, marital dissolutions and sales of professional practices as applied to newspapers, dental and medical practices, restaurants, various retail shops, professional practices and service industries. Kathy has published in the Matrimonial Strategist, Debt a 4-letter word and in the Family Lawyer Magazine, The Framework of Business Valuation Standards.

Currently Kathy serves on the Board of Directors of “Friends of Shawe and Pope John Schools, Inc.” She also is a member of the Women’s Giving Circle part of the Jefferson County Community Foundation. Previously Kathy has served as finance chairman on the Board of Education at Prince of Peace schools in Madison Indiana and successfully led the implementation of a comprehensive purchase order system which insured proper management of funds. She also served as treasurer for Habitat for Humanity and developed a fully computerized accounting system.

Kathy earned a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University, Bloomington Indiana. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society. She and her husband Mike a Superior Court Judge; have one son Evan, who is a graduate from Indiana University, Bloomington. Kathy and Mike reside in Madison, Indiana. They are members of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
